About the Photographer Anne Mitchard is largely a 'self-taught' photographer with a passion for capturing nature at its wildest. Anne lives in the West Australian gold-mining capital of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and watching and photographing thunderstorms has been a hobby to her that has developed into a passion. To ready herself for lightning photo opportunities, Anne tends to keep an eye on what nature around her is doing. Joining the Australian Severe Weather Association has provided Anne with a more informative view of what the weather may do. Anne advises that standing out in the extreme elements is a very dangerous activity and is not for the 'faint hearted', so please take proper precautions.
