| The trip
started out with everyone meeting at the
country club at 12:45 Sunday afternoon.
Once everyone had gathered we headed out
towards John hill (top of Hannans) where
we re-grouped with 13 vehicles and the
real trip started. Turning left down
the dirt road, we met up a few
corrugations giving everyones
vehicle a good shakedown. We followed
Adam, our trip leader through a few bush
tracks and along the firebreak until we
reached a washout that a few of us had
seen before.
This was
the first photo opportunity for the day
with cars lifting and spinning wheels
attempting to drive up the hole. Everyone
made it unscathed and a bit of fun was
had here.
We then
moved on further down the track until we
came to a decent hill at the back of
Kundana Mine site. This was a good chance
for some low range fun. Everyone had a go
at driving the hill with success. Once at
the top, we could see for miles over the
flat land.
Progressing
down the other side of the was easier
going.
Our next
stop was at Stan Dam for afternoon tea.
No water at this dam, no surprise
considering the weather we have had
lately.
After
snacking, we decided that it was time to
head back to Kal as it was now 4:30.
We headed
out to Coolgardie north road via powder
dam and made a quick stop at Kunanaling
dam that has been dug out with a shovel
and will barrow just recently.
From here
we headed back to Kalgoorlie and everyone
departed home.
