Profile
Professionally painting for
over 20 years, My initial inspiration came from the golden light, colour and textures of the Eastern Goldfields region of WA and
am now continuing to develop a body of work both in realistic and semi
abstract themes from the Perth foothills. Flora, fauna and
sunlight being some my favourite subjects.
Over the last few years a majority of yearly output has been through commission sales, with the
total number for 2007 being 30 paintings. Numerous public and
private corporations possess examples of my work, including (not
limited to) 4 portraits hung at RASWA Hall of Fame, 16 pieces at Boart Longyears Adelaide head office and a large collation
pastel artwork at
Government House in Canberra ; presented as a gift to the Governor
General of Australia by City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder - Australia Day 2006.
I have been actively involved at many levels within
the art community including teaching painting/drawing at Curtin VTEC (Kalgoorlie),
cataloguing & hanging artwork and PR for numerous group exhibitions
together with being a member of Artsource & NAVA.
